COUNTY ENGINEER (PE) - Barton County, Kansas, is seeking applications for the full-time, exempt County Engineer position. Will evaluate, program and administer roadway, bridge construction projects; prepare, submit state and federal grant applications for construction work; coordinate project development, construction with state and local agencies and engineering firms; obtain necessary permits and provide oversight for projects. Serves as the Floodplain Manager, provides technical assistance to townships, supervises and directs engineering staff. Minimum requirement - Bachelor's in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred, Kansas Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Flood Plain Manager (CFM), valid Kansas driver's license. All County positions require the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical assessment.
